How to connect the AeroLite to an AirPort network that has WEP enabled?

Instructions on how to connect the AeroLite to an Apple AirPort Extreme, AirPort Express, or any other Apple Basestation. Follow these instructions to get the proper HEX key from your AirPort Basestation using Apples Admin Utility.

Connect to the Airport using the Airport Admin Utility, the AirPort Admin Utility is located in the Application/Utilities folder. Do this from the computer that was used to configure the AirPort Base Station, this computer can be wired or wireless. Once the AirPort Admin Utility is open click the "Configure" button and enter the password for the selected AirPort Base Station. In the menu bar at the top select the Base Station menu and choose WEP Equivalent key, after that a dialog box will appear with ether a 10 or 26 character HEX WEP key.

Open the AeroLite Configuration Utility and double click your network, a dialog box will appear with the message "The Selected network has WEP encyption and requires a password", at that point click the "OK" button. After clicking "OK" the next box dialog box "WEP Key Setting" will appear and you will then click the "Change" button and select your Key Length, Key Format and choose the Default Key ID (usually the Default Key ID is #1). You will then enter you key in Key Value #1.

After that you will click the "Apply" button then you will click the "OK" button. Now you will close the AeroLite Configuration Utility and open your browser and you should be online if you entered the correct WEP Key.
