Do I need to install Drivers for my QuDi USB or Firewire model?

You must install the proper driver for the QuDi to work.


QuDi USB Setup

Macintosh Setup

  1. Insert the utility CD into your CD-ROM
  2. Double click and open the CD "QuDi 125 UF CD" on your desktop.
  3. Double click and open folder "MacUSB".
  4. Drag the icon "USB2IDE.hqx" to your desktop.
  5. Double click "USBIDE.hqx" icon on your desktop for decrompressing the file.
  6. After USB2IDE.hqx is unzipped, you will see two icons on your desktop.
  7. Double click "USB2IDEDriver_2f30" to install. (Not USB2IDEDriver2f30.hqx)
  8. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete.

Windows 98/98se Setup

1. Insert the utility CD into your CD-Rom.
2. On "My Computer", double click and open CD-ROM Drive (Volume name: QuDi 125 UF CD).
3. Double click and open folder "WinUSB".
4. Double click "Setup.exe" to start the installation.
5. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
6. After connecting the QuDi to your notebook or desktop PC, then restart your computer.


QuDi Firewire Setup

No. The QuDi uses the supplied FireWire drivers supported in the OS.

For Win98/98SE/ME/2000

  1. Make sure the FireWire Adapter Card (Not included) and its driver is installed in your PC.
  2. After connecting the QuDi to your notebook or desktop PC, then restart your computer.
